Newtown's First Restaurant Week Is On: 30 Spots, Seven Days

State Street always smells like dinner around here. This week, it smells like an invitation.

Newtown's first Restaurant Week is underway Oct. 12–18, 2026, organized by the Newtown Business Association. About 30 restaurants, cafés, bakeries and beverage spots across Greater Newtown are serving prix fixe options, special menus and featured offerings for seven days — and the timing could not be better for a weeknight out or a weekend catch-up with friends.

I've watched Newtown's dining scene thicken for years, with longtime favorites sharing sidewalks with newer names. A shared week that puts all of them on one stage feels like the kind of local tradition that sticks.

Why this week exists

Restaurant Week Chair Madeline Jones, a Newtown Business Association board member, told Patch the goal is simple: celebrate how much variety is already here. "It's a great opportunity to revisit a place you already love and discover completely new dining experiences," she said.

Co-Chair Renae Kulak put it another way in the same coverage: restaurants are part of what makes this area special, and the hope is that people make a week of it — breakfast with friends, a date night, a cocktail or dessert somewhere they don't usually go.

The Newtown Business Association lists Salucca as presenting sponsor and Philly Joe Tattoos & Cosmetics as elite sponsor. Guests can browse a "Menu of Menus" flipbook on the association's Restaurant Week page at newtownba.org/RestaurantWeek.

Who's in

The association's participant list runs from steakhouse tables to bagel counters and tasting rooms. Names you'll recognize include Blue Point Grill, Harvest Seasonal Grill & Wine Bar, La Grange French Steakhouse, Mamie Colette, Isaac Newton's, Piccolo Trattoria, Temperance House, Pineville Tavern, Crossing Vineyards and Winery, Newtown Brewing Co., Triple Sun Spirits, and P.J. Whelihan's — plus cafés, bakeries and more.

Offers, participating days and hours vary by place. Some specials are dine-in only or land on select days, and some spots may want a reservation. Check each restaurant's listing in the Menu of Menus before you go.

A few new neighbors on the list

The week lands as newer restaurants settle into familiar addresses. P.J. Whelihan's Pub + Restaurant opened May 4 at the Village at Newtown on Eagle Road, in the former Iron Hill Brewery space. Iron Hill closed its locations in September 2025; PJW Restaurant Group took over the lease and leans into wings, burgers, cheesesteaks and draft beer. Bucksco.Today reported the company's development lead saying Bucks County had been a gap on its map.

Mélange on Sycamore opened in April at 255 N. Sycamore St., in the former Sycamore Grill space, with Louisiana-inspired Southern dishes alongside Italian fare. It's open for lunch and dinner Tuesday through Sunday. Restaurant Week gives both newcomers and longtime favorites the same seven-day stage.

How I'd plan it

Pick two nights and one daytime stop. Start with a place you've driven past a hundred times, then book somewhere new for the second night. Bring someone who lives nearby and trade recommendations midweek. The point of Restaurant Week is not to eat everywhere — it's to walk out of one dinner already planning the next.
