Braised short ribs, a double-patty burger and a chocolate pot de crème are on the menu at Hatboro's newest dinner spot, and opening night is here. River & Roan American Bistro opens Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2026, at 11 Moreland Ave. in Hatboro, Glenside Local reported on Nov. 2, with opening-night hours of 4 to 9 p.m. Hatboro borders Warminster in Bucks County.

The 11 Moreland Ave. address is the former home of La Morena Authentic Mexican Cuisine and Unique Chinese Cuisine, according to Glenside Local.

What's on the menu

The opening menu published with Glenside Local's report has seven starters, most of them $12 or $13, six mains from $18 to $38, and three desserts at $12 each. Here's a sampling, with prices as listed:

• To start: Jose's onion soup with caramelized onion purée, croutons and parmesan ($12); fried curry green beans with Secret Sauce ($12); fried Brussels sprouts with caramel, sunflower seeds and rum-soaked craisins ($13); and a bacon and corn risotto ($16)
• Mains: a fried chicken sandwich with coleslaw and fries ($18); the River & Roan Burger with two 4 oz. patties, cheddar and American cheese ($20); milk-braised pork pasta with cavatappi ($28); pan-seared salmon ($30); and braised short ribs with mashed potatoes, pearl onions, baby carrots and red wine sauce ($38)
• Dessert: chocolate or butterscotch pot de crème and a seasonal bread pudding ($12 each)
