A Saturday family festival at Tamanend Park is one of the easiest Halloween-week plans in Upper Southampton.

What's on the schedule

The free Family Halloween & Fall Festival lineup includes hayrides, face painting, sand art, a creepy-crawly bug exhibit, music, games and more, per Upper Southampton Parks & Recreation. Costumes are part of the fun.

The day before, the township also lists Frights & Flicks Under the Stars, an adult outdoor Halloween movie night, on Friday, Oct. 23, from 7 to 10 p.m. at the Community Center (ages 16 and up, free), according to the recreation calendar.

Why it's worth showing up

It's free, it's outdoors and everything is in one park. Bring the kids in costume and make an afternoon of it.
