Costumes on, candy buckets out. The Northeast Family YMCA is hosting a free Halloween treat trail on Friday, Oct. 23, 2026, from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at 11088 Knights Road. It's free, open to the whole community and needs no registration, according to the Greater Philadelphia YMCA.
A Friday-evening trail at the neighborhood Y gives Millbrook families an easy early start on Halloween week.
Kids grab a candy bucket, put on a costume and collect goodies and giveaways along an outdoor treat trail. The Y sets it up at its outdoor track and pavilions, so plan to dress for the weather.
If you have little ones, the Free Library's Katharine Drexel branch, also on Knights Road at 11099, hosts preschool storytime and play the day before, Thursday, Oct. 22, at 10:30 a.m., for ages 3 to 5 with an adult, per the Northeast Times.
It's free, it's close to home and it wraps up by 6:30, which makes it an easy fit before dinner on a Friday.
