Meet Byron, the Young Owner Behind Langhorne's Pizza Pie II

Bucks Co. & Beyond Daily

Bucks Co. & Beyond Daily: Langhorne's young pizza shop owner. Byron, owner of Pizza Pie II, makes a pizza in his shop kitchen in Langhorne.

by Nick Rau

Plenty of people dream about running their own pizza shop someday. Byron took over a struggling one the summer he finished high school and went to work on it. He was 17 when he graduated, he said on a 2025 podcast, and that summer he started running Pizza Pie II at 184 N. Pine St. in Langhorne, a shop he described as "free-falling" at the time. A few years later, his shop keeps coming up in replies to Dave Portnoy, which is a lot of attention for a pizzeria in the Pine Watson Shopping Center.

How a teenager ended up running a Langhorne pizzeria

Byron told the story on Doug's Interesting People, a local interview podcast that posted his episode on March 2, 2025. He said he came home from a trip to Guatemala in the summer of 2022 and learned on a Thursday that he would be running the Langhorne shop. He started the following Monday. The shop had lost its manager and, as he put it, it was "free-falling." Nobody told him to prepare, he said, but he spent those few days learning the menu and studying the area on his own "because I cared." He also said the first thing he checked was the shop's online footprint, because the reviews were thin back then and it was "not even cracking a hundred reviews." Byron has run Pizza Pie II and worked to build it back up since 2022, he said.

The numbers he shared

On the podcast, Byron said his first year brought in about $780,000 in sales, and that he had just come off his best year at about $1.4 million. He also said that on Super Bowl Sunday 2025, when the Eagles won, the shop broke its own record with a little over $7,000 in sales and sold out of 2,000 wings, with him making the pizza himself and his cousin running the oven. Those figures are his own account, not audited numbers, but they help explain why he talks about the shop the way he does. He described New York-style pizza with plenty of sauce and cheese, and wings that go in the oven first and then the fryer.

On TikTok, Byron is the face of the shop

Byron also posts from the shop on TikTok as @pizzabybyron. His bio reads "21 yr old pizza industry lover and shop owner" and names "pizza pie 2 Langhorne PA." As of Oct. 22, 2026, the account had 4,401 followers, about 93,400 likes and 133 videos.

Most of the videos are shot in the Pizza Pie II kitchen, with Byron cooking and talking straight to the camera. His most-watched post, a chicken Caesar sub from Jan. 7, 2026, had about 147,800 views. In "Slice Pie Time" (Jan. 3, 2026, about 74,100 views), he tosses dough, sauces a pie and pulls it from the oven; the photo at the top of this post is a still from that video. In "Pasta in a wrap… yes it works" (March 24, 2026, about 59,000 views), he shows off a pasta-stuffed wrap.

His bio opens with his age, and posts like "Slice Pie Time" carry the tags #pizzashopowner and #smallbusiness.

Where Portnoy comes in

Pizza Pie II came up on Oct. 7, 2026, when Dave Portnoy asked on X for great pizza in the Trenton and Philly area that he hadn't reviewed yet. Several replies named Pizza Pie II in Langhorne. Portnoy's Langhorne stop that week went to a different shop, though. He visited Abruzzi Ristorante on Wood Lane on Oct. 9 for a One Bite review, the Bucks County Courier Times reported, and I wrote up his Bucks County pizza run when the scores came out. For now, Pizza Pie II's fame is coming from its own customers.
